T.A.Z. Tow Away Zone

The WMATF is working with all seven Local Authorities to actively remove abandoned vehicles quickly as they are often set alight and become the centre of further antisocial behaviour. We are working in Birmingham with our Police, Fire Service and the Birmingham Crime Unit to take further appropriate action at arson and crime areas.

To that end we are using this new project of removing dangerous abandoned vehicles in agreed 'hot spot' areas in hours not days. We have made the new project details of the latest T.A.Z project, an area defined in the Selly Oak district of Birmingham, available - please see link below.

Wolverhamption TAZ

Following an increase of vehicle arsons in the Low Hill and Scotlands area of Wolverhampton a TAZ operation will start on Monday 3rd November 2008.
