SPARX! The Show In Pictures

These photos give an overview of the story line and can be used with Activities 12 and 13 of the Teacher Activity Plans.

Scene 2

Mom remembers the fire that killed her two babies a few years ago. "Just then the fire engines came screaming down from the top of the road. But it was too late. I knew that they were dead."

Scene 3

"I'm a firestarter! Twisted firestarter!
You're a firestarter! Twisted firestarter!"

Sparx and Packman sing and talk about old times when they were firefighters together. "I couldn't face the job any more. Not after Wilson got killed, saving a caretaker's life from a fire that was lit deliberately."

Scene 4

Eggie and Mom have been arguing about the state of her pullover. Eggie says that she thinks Mom blames her for her children's death. "I never blamed you Erica! Never!"

Scene 5

Sparx and Deno have played a joke on Corby with his aerobics kit.

Scene 8

Mom and Packman talk about the relationship they used to have. He asks why they can't give it another go. "I have to move on. You're always a reminder of the fire. I have to try to forget. So does Erica."

Scene 9

Kirsty and Eggie are rowing and Eggie bullies Kirsty into saying she'll come and set fire to some rubbish later.

Sparx is on his way to work, and sees Eggie and Kirsty. "You want me to walk you both home?"

Scene 10

The report from the Fire Investigation Officer following the fire: "Firefighters Corbett and Sparkson, wearing breathing apparatus sets, went in to the burning buildings to look for the person reported."

Sparx is dead and is speaking about the fire that killed him. "Don't forget: Fire is not a toy. Flames are not a game."

Kirsty talks about her experience and her hair being burnt by long curling flames. "I'm lucky to be alive. Packman saved my life."

Corby and Deno talk after the fire. "Can't believe it. Sparx. Our friend. Colleague. Mate. Dead."
